A letter from our Administrator
Welcome,
For more than 40 years Bellaire Baptist Church has provided a Christian atmosphere for the spiritual, physical, social, emotional, and educational development of children.
We are a Type III facility licensed by The Louisiana Department of Education. Our program includes children as young as six weeks of age and continues through fifth grade.
We offer childcare and preschool, Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 5:30 PM, year-round, excluding holidays. We also offer half-day preschool (8:30 AM-11:30 AM) for children that meet the three- and four-year old’s requirements. For school age children we provide transportation from Bellaire Learning Center to Sun City Elementary, Bellaire Elementary, Elm Grove Elementary, and Curtis Elementary.
We use Frog Street a Louisiana Department of Education approved curriculum and ABEKA, a faith-based curriculum to prepare your child for a successful future. Children also enjoy indoor and outdoor play, morning snack, hot lunch, afternoon snack and children/teacher directed center activities.
The Bible tells us, “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6). Raising and training a child within the context of this proverb means that it begins with the Bible, as “all Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training…” (2 Timothy 3:16). Teaching children the truths of Scripture will make them wise for salvation (2 Timothy 3:15); thoroughly equip them to do good works (2 Timothy 3:17); prepare them to give an answer to everyone who asks them the reason for their hope (1 Peter 3:15); and prepare them to withstand the onslaught of cultures bent on indoctrinating young people with secular values.
If you have any questions concerning the Learning Center, please do not hesitate to contact our staff.
